Design Notes:

Transforming the places we live into beacons of health, inspiration, and beauty is a combination of creativity, introspection, planning, research, and follow-through. (All completely within your grasp, btw.) Here is where I'll show you how.

There's No Place Like Home

How To Redesign Your Home For A Kick-Ass Life

::AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT'S TO COME::

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I am so glad you are here and excited to guide you on the journey to realizing your design dreams and lifestyle goals. Designing for Wellness is here to help you thoughtfully curate a timeless and beautiful, wellness boosting homeHere you will learn how to master the art of creating a home uniquely designed for your personal aesthetic & lifestyle needs that will enhance and support your life and your health.

Your home is your sanctuary. Or at least, it should be. It's a sacred space, that at the very least should provide you and your loved ones with shelter, nourishment, and replenished energy. It's a reflection of who you are and what matters to you, and it amplifies your daily experience (both for better and worse... depending on what state it's currently in).

Believe it or not, your home greatly affects how you feel and how you show up in the world - mentally, physically, and spiritually. The clearest illustration of this notion can be seen in the effects of order vs. clutter. While a home where everything has a place and a purpose can give you a sense of lightness, breathability, and freedom - freeing up space in your mind for creativity, peace, and self-expression; a home in disarray can make you feel anxious, scattered, overwhelmed, and trapped - leaving little room mentally for one more thing not to go as planned. It's the same space, the difference is how it's being utilized and how it makes you feel.

Our homes have the power to ameliorate our lives and support our aspirations, or deflate our sense of resolve and drain the last drops of our energy.

It is in our homes that we can be the truest version of ourselves - let our hair down (so to speak), take a breather from the demands of everyday life, care for our loved ones and ourselves, and dream our biggest dreams. I've said it before and I'll say it again, no matter the square footage of your home or the balance in your bank account, you are worthy of a home that inspires you, supports the health and happiness of you and your family, and honestly, makes you excited to be alive. Your home is your birthright.

Luckily for you, creating a beautiful and elevated soul-inspiring home has never been easier, Designing for Wellness is here to show you how.

It is my mission to inspire and guide you through the process of designing (or redesigning) your home to create an environment of growth and vitality, greater wellness, and to live a kick-ass life. So, whether you are a homeowner or renter; you live in a house, a condo, an apartment, a single room, a mobile home, or on a boat; and whether you live alone, with roommates, your family, or with pets - I got you.

What IS a kick-ass life, you ask? Valid question.

A kick-ass life is a life that ignites both a burning light and deep passion inside of you. A life in which you wake up every morning content to be where you are, and energized to reach for your goals - inspired and ready to take on the world and build the life you desire. In a kick-ass life you are both author and curator of your story and your experience, actively illuminating your path. A life in which you feel healthy, happy, secure and supported - mind, body, and soul. A tall order for interior design, you say? Not in my experience.

Stick with me and I'll show you how to transform both your home and your life with the help of wellness driven interior design.

In the weeks ahead we'll dive into design processes and principles for creating beautiful, personalized, and functional spaces; we'll discuss the science behind wellness design practices and methods for improving health, comfort and wellbeing at home; I'll show you how to conceptualize incredible design plans, to create cohesively coordinated interior spaces uniquely designed for your personality, lifestyle, design aesthetic, and needs (and those of any others you share your home with); and I'll guide you through implementation of that plan, utilizing wellness driven design techniques and methods.
